Yes. Preptrics™ is designed to work with the AI account you already use. Most teachers can use their own personal ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot account; a school-provided account works too. You do not purchase an AI subscription from Preptrics™. Provider features and usage limits vary, but a separate Preptrics™ AI subscription is not required.
No specific student information is required. Preptrics™ is designed around class-level descriptions rather than individual student records. For example, you might enter that your class includes five multilingual learners, four students who need accommodations, one advanced learner, a co-teacher and a paraprofessional. You do not need to enter student names, student ID numbers, addresses, dates of birth, grades, medical information or other personally identifying records.
The lesson details you enter — your topic, class description and notes about who is in the room — are not sent to or stored on our servers. When you paste your plan request into your AI, that provider receives it and handles it under its own privacy and retention policy — so use an AI account your district approves.
Only what is needed to run your license and improve the product: the email address you purchased with, your license key, and anonymous counts such as how many plans have been generated. That is all that reaches our servers.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build a profile of you. The lesson details you type — your topic, your class description, your notes about who is in the room — stay in your browser and are never transmitted to us. Yes. When selected, Preptrics™ integrates an appropriate Social Emotional Learning connection into the academic or technical work itself—such as communication, collaboration, self-awareness, decision-making, persistence, perspective-taking or self-management—rather than treating SEL as a disconnected add-on.
Danielson is one of the primary framework options, but it is not the only one. Preptrics™ can align planning to Danielson, Marzano, Stronge, T-TESS, 5D+, TAP/NIET, CSTP, or another selected framework or rubric. The goal is to make the instructional evidence already present in the lesson visible in the language of the framework you are using.
Plans can connect academic content to careers, industries, postsecondary pathways, workplace competencies and authentic applications. The goal is not to paste a career name onto a lesson, but to help students understand where the knowledge is used and what transferable skills they are practicing.
