The short version

Preptrics™ stores your email address and license key so the app knows who you are. That is essentially it. The lesson content you type stays in your browser. When you paste your plan request into an AI service, that company receives it and handles it under its own policy, not ours.

What we collect

• Your email address and license key — to validate your license and let you sign in on more than one device.
• Anonymous usage counts — how many plans have been generated, and which optional sections are used. These are counts, not content.
• Your name and email if you request a free resource, so we can send it.
• Payment information is handled entirely by Payhip and Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

What we do not collect

• The lesson details you type — topic, class description, notes about who is in the room. These stay in your browser and are never transmitted to us.
• The lesson plans your AI produces. We never see them.
• Any student record. Preptrics is built around class-level descriptions and asks for no student names, ID numbers or individual information.

Your AI provider

Preptrics does not call an AI service on your behalf. You copy your plan request and paste it into the account you already have with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or another provider. At that moment that company receives everything you pasted and processes it under its own privacy, retention and training policies. We have no control over and no visibility into what happens after you paste.

Use an AI account your school or district approves, and describe your class without naming a child.

What we never do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not build an advertising profile of you.
• We do not use your lesson content to train anything. We do not have it.

Cookies and local storage

Preptrics uses your browser’s local storage to remember your license, your plan header and your saved configurations, so you do not retype them. This information lives on your own device. Clearing your browser data removes it. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Schools and districts

Preptrics is a teacher-facing planning tool. It holds no student records, requires no student accounts and needs no district contract or procurement. If your district requires a data agreement before staff use a tool, write to us and we will provide what your office needs.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it along with your account. Write to support@preptrics.com and we will act on it. You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email.

Children

Preptrics is sold to and used by educators. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date above and, for anything significant, tell license holders by email.
